Columbus School District Rankings

Whether you are a longtime Columbus Resident or someone considering a move to the Greater Columbus area, school district should be an important consideration for you. Communities in Columbus that have superior schools have shown superior price appreciation. I have listed each main Columbus School District's report card as reported from the State of Ohio.
The following info is a summary of each districts report card for 2004-2005. The 2005-2006 has not yet been released. Additional and more specific info can be found at www.ode.state.oh.us/reportcard .
School Districts with a Performance Index Score of 100+ should be condsidered Very Good.
Bexley was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 101.8 out of 120. Very Good.
Big Walnut was designated an Effective rating. They met 19 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 97.4 out of 120.
Buckeye Valley was designated an Effective rating. They met 18 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 96.4 out of 120.
Canal Winchester was designated an Effective rating. They met 17 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 93.9 out of 120.
Columbus Public was designated an Academic Watch rating. They met 3 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 73.7 out of 120. It should be noted that the Columbus School District is very large, broad, and diverse. Some schools perform much more effectively than others.
Delaware City was designated an Effective rating. They met 14 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 92.8 out of 120.
Dublin was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 101.6 out of 120.
Gahanna was designated an Effective rating. They met 21 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 97.8 out of 120.
Grandview Heights was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 103.3 out of 120.
Groveport was designated an Academic Watch rating. They met 4 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 79.2 out of 120.
Hilliard was designated a Continuous Improvement rating. They met 21 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 97.2 out of 120.
Olentangy was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 99.8 out of 120.
Pickerington was designated an Effective rating. They met 21 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 99.7 out of 120.
New Albany / Plain Local was designated an Excellent rating. They met 22 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 101.3 out of 120.
Southwestern City Schools/Grove City was designated a Continuous Improvement rating. They met 8 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 88 out of 120.
Westerville was designated an Effective rating. They met 18 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 96 out of 120.
Whitehall was designated an Academic Watch rating. They met 3 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 79.5 out of 120.
Worthington was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 102.7 out of 120.
Upper Arlington was designated an Excellent rating. They met 23 out of 23 State Indicators and has a Performance Index Score of 105.2 out of 120.
